Consistency

Consistency is an important part of every relationship especially our relationship with Jesus. I've had my share of questioning how strong my relationship with Him is and over the years have grown in understanding of just how important having a consistent daily relationship with Jesus is.

Other than Jesus being first priority, we need consistency in relationships. All relationships.

Right now for me where I see the lack of consistency is in romantic relationships. Even in the talking stages. There just seems to be no sense of having any consistent communication, understanding of one another's time, or even the fact of consistently trying to actually get to know the other person. If there can't be any type of consistency from the beginning how can we advance our relationship any.

Being inconsistent shows a lack of interest or that maybe we just aren't cut out for one another. I was wondering what it was that was lacking in every one of my relationships that was causing a problem. The whole time I really did think it was just me asking too much from someone, but God revealed to me that it was consistency that was lacking. Consistency Brings Us Close As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me” (John 15:4 KJV).

To abide is to endure without yielding, to continue in a place, to remain stable. Abiding is simply spending time together, day in and day out.
